The nervous and reluctant heir to the Shadowfell throne, Humperdinck is a warlock bound to Lady Marguerite, his patron and mother. He is deeply afraid of losing his magic if he inherits the crown, and his powers have become unreliable due to corruption spreading from the cathedral. Despite his anxiety, he carries magical gifts from his patron: a healing brooch, a ring of bravery, and a cloak that allows travel into the Ethereal Plane. He is awkward with common folk, as shown when a child named Tommy handed him a drawing and asked him to fix the cathedral bells.
